Judge Lewis joined the Second District Court of Appeals in January 2022 after being appointed by Governor Mike DeWine to fill the seat vacated upon Judge Michael Hall’s retirement. Prior to joining the Court of Appeals, Judge Lewis served as the Xenia Municipal Court Judge.

 

Judge Lewis graduated from Ohio Northern University with a BSBA in Business in 1990 and from the Ohio Northern University School of Law in 1993 where he served on the Executive Board of Moot Court. He worked his way through college in the family construction business and on the family farm raising hogs.

 

In addition to being licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio, he is licensed to practice in federal court in both the Southern District of Ohio and the United States Supreme Court.

 

He was born in Xenia, Ohio and graduated from Xenia High School in 1984 where he was recently inducted into the Xenia Community Schools Hall of Honor.
